Feeling that chill in the air that comes with the fall season? This healthy Turkey Chili recipe is hearty, tasty, thick, easy to throw together. It’s a favorite in our house! Whether its dinner served after a day of apple picking, visiting the pumpkin patch, game day or just a weeknight meal, you can’t get any easier than this recipe. We just love making this dish and once you try this recipe, we know it will become one of your favorites too.
To lighten up the chili, we used lean ground turkey instead of ground beef and truthfully you can hardly taste any difference. So very flavorful using a variety of spices that it’s even better the second day! If your family prefers a more spicier chili just add some red pepper flakes or diced jalapeno peppers.
You know when you have a recipe written on a piece of scrap paper, recipe card or earmarked in your cookbook that looks like it has seen better days? It may have stains, creases, and spills on it. A recipe that has been made many times with love, maybe passed down from a parent, grandparent, or friend, well this is just that kind of recipe! If you’re lucky enough to have some of these handwritten recipes, cherish them. Nothing feels as special as cooking from a recipe that was passed along with love.
