Homemade Frozen Cream Pops

Creamy, frozen, healthy delightful homemade treats made with just a few simple ingredients. Perfect for a BBQ dessert, pool side treat or afternoon summer snack.

Ingredients
  

Chocolate Fudge Pops

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • Mini chocolate chips semisweet or dark chocolate (use dairy free for vegan)

Pineapple Pops

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1/2 cup greek yogurt (use dairy-free for vegan)
  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
  • 3/4 cup chopped fresh pineapple

Instructions
 

Chocolate Fudge Pops

  • Place almond milk, honey and cocoa powder in a blender. Mix until smooth.
  • Add a few chocolate chips in the bottom of each mold.
  • Carefully pour the liquid mix into each mold, filling halfway.
  • Place reserved mixture in the refrigerator.
  • Place mold in the freezer for 30-40 minutes until partially frozen.
  • Add popsicle sticks in the center of each mold, remove reserved mix from the refrigerator and pour into molds, filling to the top of each mold.
  • Sprinkle a few more chips on top of each mold.
  • Return molds to freezer and freeze until solid about 4-6 hours, or overnight.

Pineapple Pops

  • Add almond milk, yogurt, maple syrup, orange juice and fresh pineapple in a blender.
  • Pulse until pineapple is pureed and all ingredients are well mixed.
  • Carefully pour the liquid mix into each mold, filling half way.
  • Place reserved mixture in the refrigerator.
  • Place mold in freezer for 30- 40 minutes until partially frozen.
  • Add popsicle sticks in the center of each mold, remove reserved mix from the refrigerator and pour into molds, filling to the top of each mold.
  • Return to freezer and freeze until solid about 4-6 hours, or overnight.

Notes

To remove the popsicles from the molds, run the molds under warm water for 20- 30 seconds. Slowly and carefully remove each popsicle from the molds. If the popsicles are still in the mold, run them under warm water for a few more seconds. Just be careful that the water is not hot, as the popsicles will begin to melt. Keep in mind that all molds are different sizes and shapes. Recipe can be adjusted to make more liquid mix to fill your size of molds.
