Mediterranean Spiced Nuts

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 lb pound unsalted mixed nuts
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp allspice

Instructions
 

  • Heat oven to 325 degrees.
  • Add egg white to a large bowl and whisk until frothy and light.
  • Pour nuts into the egg mixture and stir until evenly coated.
  • In a small bowl, combine salt, cumin, oregano, garlic powder, pepper, paprika and allspice.
  • Add spice mix to the nuts and stir until nuts are evenly coated.
  • Spread the nuts in an even layer on a lightly oiled baking sheet.
  • Baked for 40 minutes, stirring occasionally until nuts look dry and crisp.
  • Remove from oven and allow to cool. Nuts will continue to dry as they cool. Store nuts in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks.
