I get a lot of email from people asking me questions. I have included here some of the questions that I receive most frequently. Please check here to see if your question has already been answered.

How do you come up with your recipes?

We get our inspiration from seasonal ingredients and try to incorporate them into our Greek family recipes.  We also take these traditional Greek recipes and try to make them more heart healthy.  We limit our use of salt, butter, and processed ingredients.  We also try to limit our red meat intake.  Before starting any new diet please consult with your doctor.

Has your heart healthy journey been successful thus far?

Yes, we have been happy with the results so far.  My husband and I have both lost weight with a combination of the diet change and  regular exercise.  Our energy levels are improved and we feel better overall.   We will keep you updated as our journey continues.

How to dry fresh herbs?

Whether you are drying your herbs from your garden, or fresh from the store we find the quickest and easiest way is microwaving them. This process also keeps the color of the herbs vibrant.  Frist you will want to wash and pat dry your fresh herbs.  Place an individual layer of herbs on a paper towel on your microwave plate, and cover with another paper towel.  Microwave on 30 second intervals until herbs are crisp. Store in an airtight container.
