Does this dish look familiar to you? If you’re on TikTok or Instagram then it should be because it’s gone viral! We’ve made Baked Feta before as an appetizer (which is beyond delicious) so when we saw the videos for this pasta dish we just HAD to try it. And let us tell you it lives up to the hype! It’s a very rich dish, but like we always say, everything in moderation!
Ingredients for Baked Feta Pasta
- Cherry tomatoes
- Olive oil
- Blocked feta cheese
- Pasta
- Fresh spinach
- Dried oregano
- Dried parsley
- Ground pepper
- Garlic powder
We know that finding feta cheese has been hard to come by recently due to the popularity of this recipe on TikTok. When choosing feta cheese we always opt for the brand DODONI. Why? Because it has amazing texture and flavor! And we can buy DODONI in bulk blocks in the brine. The brine helps to hold in the flavor, freshness, and shelf life of the cheese. We mainly purchase feta cheese from our local Mediterranean Food stores since they have the best availability of blocked feta.
How to Make Baked Feta Pasta
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Add the cherry tomatoes to a 13×9 baking dish and drizzle with 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
- Next, push the tomatoes to the side and place the block of feta cheese in the center. Drizzle with remaining olive oil and sprinkle with the seasonings (dried oregano, dried parsley, garlic powder & ground pepper).
- Place the baking dish in the oven and cook for 30-35 minutes.
- While the tomatoes & feta are baking, bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente.
- Add the fresh spinach to the pasta pot & stir until wilted. Then drain pasta & spinach.
- Remove the baking dish from the oven, using a large spoon mash the feta & stir together with the tomatoes.
- Add the pasta and spinach to the baking dish and stir well to combine. Serve & enjoy!

Could this be made by substituting ricotta for the feta? Looks yummy!
Hi Julie, we have not tried the recipe using ricotta but don’t see why it wouldn’t work. Ricotta is definitely a milder cheese so you may have to add a few more spices to make up for the salty tangy flavors of the feta cheese. We’d love to hear from you if you try it.

Might be a dumb question but do you drain the pasta before adding the spinach or ad it water and all abs then drain after wilted?
Kevin, We added the spinach right to the boiling pot of pasta. Just don’t add the spinach right away, wait until your pasta is cooked al dente, then add in your spinach. Thank you for trying our recipe and enjoy!

What are your thoughts on adding some artichoke or a small amount of chopped kalamata olives?

Can the baked feta spinach pasta be made ahead of time?
Hi Anastasia, We have not tried making this ahead of time, but would suggest adding some of the pasta water to the dish after it comes out of the oven. Pasta tends to become dry when it is refrigerated, the add moisture should help.
