We took our favorite summer frothy coffee and turned it into a seasonal fall drink. Even if you’re not a pumpkin spice fan you’ll love this Pumpkin Spice Frappe! It has just the right amount of spice but doesn’t overwhelm you as much as the other gals coffee 😉
Skip the drive-thru coffee shop pumpkin drinks and make our healthy version at home in just minutes! The main benefit of making this drink at home is YOU control the ingredients. This drink isn’t filled with empty calories and sugar and it’s vegan, so if you have a dairy sensitivity this is an extra win. For instance, a small regular Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino has 290 calories and 45 grams of sugar whereas our Pumpkin Spice Frappe has just 42 calories and 5 grams of sugar!
For the tastiest and most healthy approach, we used homemade pumpkin puree which is one of our to-go recipes when fall hits. Skip the canned pumpkin and click here to follow our step by step guide for making fresh pumpkin puree at home (plus its freezer friendly!).

How to Make Pumpkin Spice Mix
Here’s what you need:
- 3 tsp pumpkin purée
- 1/2 tsp pumpkin spice
- 1 tsp maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp unsweetened almond milk
Add all of the above ingredients to a glass and blend together using a stick blender.
How to Make a Frappe
In another glass add 2 teaspoons of Nescafe Classic coffee and ½ cup of water. Use a stick blender and blend to create a frothy foam by whipping air into the water/coffee.
Tip: to get air into the mixture while whipping move your stick blending in an up and down vertical motion. You’ll know you’re doing it right when the mixture starts to thicken and rise.
Assembling the Pumpin Spice Frappe
Fill a glass you are going to serve the frappe in ¾ of the way full of ice. Pour in the pumpkin spice mixture. Then very carefully begin to slowly pour the frothy frappe into the glass. Be sure not to make the foam overflow! If your frappe mixture is very foamy you can wait a minute or so for the foam to go down before adding the remaining frappe mixture. Lastly, top with a sprinkle of cinnamon and enjoy!
Did we turn you into a Pumpkin Spice fan yet?! If not you can always try our classic Greek Frappe recipe. If so we recommend pairing a tall glass of this Pumpkin Spice Frappe with some of our Pumpkin Cookies or no-bake Pumpkin Spice Balls.
